FFET Hosts First Pupil Leadership Conference

On Wednesday 28 January 2026, FFET hosted its first-ever Pupil Leadership Conference at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, bringing together pupils from across the Trust for a full day of leadership development and reflection.

The conference opened at 10.00am with pupils taking part in a leadership style task, followed by a keynote address from Mrs Green, Deputy CEO of the Trust titled “What is Leadership?”. The keynote set the tone for the day, encouraging pupils to consider the meaning, qualities, and responsibilities of effective leadership.

Throughout the morning, pupils worked collaboratively in teams to explore different leadership styles, review examples of leadership in action, and discuss the values and qualities they believe define strong leaders. Following lunch, pupils reviewed feedback, ranked leadership qualities, and reflected on the question, “What is the legacy of your leadership?”

The afternoon concluded with pupil presentations to the wider group, allowing participants to share their learning and insights.

The event provided pupils with a valuable opportunity to develop confidence, teamwork, and self-awareness, while encouraging them to think critically about their role as future leaders within their schools and communities.
