The Technology Department at the Ellesmere Port C of E College are delighted to announce the school has been nominated and shortlisted for the University Sector Award in Social Mobility at the Educate North Awards Ceremony next month.
The nomination builds upon the group’s outstanding success of last year after winning the prestigious ‘Class of the Year Award 2018’ at the Cheshire Schools Awards Ceremony.
This nomination is in recognition of the work done with students from socially and economically deprived regions of the country carried out by The University of Chester alongside the students at The Ellesmere Port C of E College.
Mr Bolam, Teacher of Technology said: “I am extremely proud of the work the students have achieved in reaching this stage of the completion that recognises endeavour across the whole of the North of England, not just in Cheshire.
It is extremely gratifying that we have shown STEM based projects such as our Green Power Project that students can engage in extremely challenging work and be as successful as they can. The students have all been a great credit to their school and the Ellesmere Port Community. An amazing story so far and the journey is not yet complete!
